- Deep Enquiry into unearthing your true calling
- Identify the Effort required to offer your gift to the world
- Become Inspired and supported to manifest your future how you want it to look.
Deep Enquiry, Action and Inspiration are the 3 essential elements of Theatreyoga practice.
We have an inner knowingness, or quietly suppressed yearning to be that which we are. TY is a process which employs the tools and practices of theatre and yoga to address the bigger picture issues which are often ignored in our lives. In order for us to navigate with certainty, clarity and enthusiasm our life’s truest calling, we must first illuminate that calling through deep enquiry.
An important part of the Theatreyoga process is to delineate between our gift, that which we can offer now, and our Higher Purpose, that which is our destiny. It is our responsibility for proclaiming our intention, and then applying the necessary effort to have it realised. However, it is important to Surrender, or let-go of how we imagine our Higher Purpose might look. Ultimately we are not responsible for the outcome. The outcome is in the hands of the Divine.
Once you have clearly identified your calling, and your intention to offer your gift, it is now a question of what Action is required to activate your intention.
During the Theatreyoga process of identifying the actual steps necessary to put your calling into practice, it is common for strong obstacles to arise.
The one thing in your life that above all else has been bubbling, festering, screaming for you to acknowledge, may be met with great resistance. To actually initiate action to fully embrace your calling, it is common for waves of fear, anxiety, doubt and self-sabotage to emerge, mixed with joy, relief and willingness.
It is part of the TY process to acknowledge these feelings as they become apparent, and learn how to use strategies in letting them go, and discover idiosyncratic tactics to undermine their power.
To be able to put into practice your offering, it is necessary to become inspired and supported. The workshop group becomes a strong ally to supporting your efforts into living your Gift.
The meaning of our self is not to be found in its separateness from God and others, but in the ceaseless realisation of yoga, of union; not on the side of the canvas where it is blank, but on the side where the picture is being painted.
To be human is to become visible while carrying what is hidden, as a gift to others…
